Old Masters In The Würth Collection niet bekend

The Wealth of pictures in the Fürstlich Fürstenberg Collection combines paintings of the highest quality from the end of the Middle Ages to the beginning of the Modern era. Twenty-six of the German Renaissance works were already on the "Complete list of nationaly valuable cultural possessions and nationally valuable archives" decades ago, including the panel paintings of the "Grey passion" by Hans Holbein the Elder, dated c. 1945 or shortly thereafter, as well as three complex works by the master of Meßkirch. This collection is on loan and has been an integral part of the German Renaissance section of the Staatsgalerie Stuttgart since May 2002, where it is among of works equally suitable standing in terms of the history of their development. This major work of Augsburg paintings has been obtained on a permanent basis for the federal state Baden-Württemberg.
